Preventative Measure: Fan Replacement

For the DOPRAD® Doppler Weather Radar System.

To extend the life of the Receiver/Transmitter and 400Hz Power Supply, ADC recommends that you replace the fans every 2-3 years.

Comair Rotron Muffin®XL model # MX2B3

Fan should be >115 CFM (Comair Rotron MX2B3 Muffin®XL AC or equivalent.

One Fan is located on the underside of the Receiver/Transmitter Mount. (Air flow should be down.) CAUTION: Some fans are set up for 115V/400Hz instead of 115V/60Hz. In this case, contact ADC for a 400Hz fan or better to replace with MX2B3 and rewire for 115V/60Hz for improved reliability. Also, a fan finger mount guard is required.

The other Fan is located on the backside of the 400Hz Power Supply.
